Senior Pastor, Paul Knott, came to Hastings Berean Bible Church in September of 2002 after serving over 12 years as Pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Newman Grove, Nebraska. A Colorado native, he graduated with a B.A. degree in Christian Education from Biola College in 1976. After graduation he worked for over 13 years in management for a manufacturing firm in Denver. During the time he was actively involved in preaching, teaching, and church leadership. The Lord led him into full-time pastoral ministry in 1990, and he continues to have a passion for teaching and preaching the Word of God and encouraging others in their walk with the Lord. Paul and his wife, Betty are the parents of five children: three married sons. Jason, Josh and Caleb; a married daughter, Tiffanie; and a daughter, Brianna, who is in college.

Associate Pastor, Jeff Schneider, joined the Hastings Berean team in September 2008. Married with three children, Aiden, Toby, and McKenna, Jeff and his wife Suzanne have enjoyed the adventure God has given them. After spending several years in the Lake Tahoe area, they moved back home to Nebraska so Jeff could attend Grace University in Omaha. Graduating May 2008, Jeff double-majored in Bible and in Church Education. Jeff values his education but would say that his years of self-employment in construction, time as a High School educator, as well as working for his parents in a family business granted him the opportunity to work out what in means to be a Christian “come Monday morning”. Jeff’s philosophy of ministry is to “teach Christians how to be Christians; and turn them loose” (Eph.4:11-12).
