Berean Gift Legacy

Happy Cyber Monday

Today, people will buy a lot of stuff online. That isn’t bad but it isn’t lasting. Our Fellowship and our churches exists to reach people that do not know Jesus and that IS lasting!

While you are shopping online today, why not click here and give to God and your church? This investment is eternal.  It lasts way longer than an iPhone, flat screen, or Amazon gift card.

If your church does not have a website that you are able to give on no worries.  You can click here, navigate to the Fellowship gift page and make your Cyber Monday Gift.  Simply enter the name of your church in the “What is your connection to the Berean Fellowship” box, and we will make sure that your church receives your Cyber Monday Gift.  It’s really simple and fast.   And here’s my Cyber Monday guarantee: 100% of your investment will go to your church and its mission in reaching people for Jesus.

Opportunities To Grow Your Generosity

We’re glad we can send you the Gift Legacy eNewsletter with Savvy Living, Gift Planning Stories and Washington Update.  We hope you find the newsletter helpful, enjoyable and motivating as you express generosity and stewardship through your church and the ministries of the Berean Fellowship.  God is doing great things and your giving helps make that possible.

As always, we’d be glad to assist you with estate planning and gift planning.

First 2013 Convention Photos

Enjoy these first snapshots of Bereans coming together from all over North America to our annual national convention!

Two quotes from the evening session:

Dr. Huber. “You know the problem with friendship evangelism? Most times it ends up just being friendship and we don’t get to the evangelism.”

Dr. Huber. “Every Berean Fellowship church will come to understand, believe, and own the truth that we can do much more together for the cause of Christ than all of us can do separately.”

Berean E3 Costa Rica Update

A new blog update by George Cheek

Bereans E3 Costa Rica

Berean E3 Costa Rica Update

Greetings from Costa Rica!

We finished our first full day on the ground having landed here at 5:00 a.m. We rested a few hours and then spent the afternoon in orientation. We wrapped up having supper with the pastors/leaders whom we will help with the church planting outreach this week.

It rains just about daily here for a few hours. Look carefully at the photo. Our team is assembled to bring light to a region of this country that is watered with some knowledge of God’s Word. Your part is to help provide the umbrella of prayer covering to bring God’s protection and blessings.

This trip is also my first time to travel with Kris, Jeff and Tara on an international church planting trip, though along with Natalie, they have served here and in Peru many times.

Thank you for reading our update. Please leave a…

Berean Church Planting In Africa

Go Make Disciples

Berean Church Planting In Africa

Thanks so much for your continued prayers! It seems that a lot has happened in this last week or so that I wanted to update my prayer partners.

We are continuing to pray that God will provide a new full-time in-country orphanage director so please continue to pray with us. Also, we have been in an ongoing conversation with the family of one of the children in the home, Eddie. The long and the short of his story is that his paternal family gave him up to Redeemer House about three years ago after his father died. They were trying to protect him and his half brothers from his mothers side of the family and the witchcraft that they are a part of. Now the mother is trying to regain custody of him in order to, it is thought, to make a child sacrifice out…

Return report – Kenya expedition

“…because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.  And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”  -Philippians 1:5-6

This is our prayer that the work that was begun in the hearts of so many will blossom and be brought to completion.

With the internet being such a challenge this year, we did not get the chance to share as many updates as we hoped, so here is a little catch up…hope you enjoy seeing how God is moving on the continent of Africa…

The trip started with us behind…delayed flights found me sleeping on the floor of the Denver airport just a 2 hours car ride from home and then on an alternate itinerary with a 15…

Coffee & A Canvas

Message from Kris Cheek, our director of Berean National Church Planting:

We believe in the value of a church planting couple. Caring for both spouses is vital to healthy marriages and ministries, encouraging women to become all that God wants and has for them. This video illustrates the necessity for church planter wives to pursue dreams and passions that bring them joy and renewal. Because let’s face it, church planting is hard work!!
